Hoboken Nights

Friday, May 8, 2015

The weather has really started to look up. The bitter cold is finally gone and my husband and I decided to take advantage and take an evening stroll along the boardwalk in Hoboken. The attire I chose was all based on the fact that I saw a red lip on a bollywood starlet that I wanted to emulate before the weather would be to warm to warrant a red lip. I am no where near as tan as I wish I were so instead of wearing gold and champagne in the video I was inspired by I opted for a grey and black color scheme.

My moto jacket is knit was it's perfect for in between weather. The zippers and asymmetrical make me feel a litter edgier than I actually am ;) I bought it at Armani Exchange a few months ago but is now unavailable but I was able to track it down on amazon

a similar tweed jacket at Bloomingdale's by Kenneth Cole New York

The skirt I wore is a midi skirt which is a trend I hope never leaves.I just exhausted of maxi skirts dragging all the dirt along the bottom and my hips aren't so forgiving with any skirts above my knees. The midi length is my dream hemline and makes me feel like I'm walking hand in hand with Audrey.
I bought it from express also a few months ago and is unfortunately unavailable. I was able to track down a similar one though at Nordstrom by Halston Heritage

I wore a basic black tee from H&M found here:

Last my flats are from Calvin Klein from years ago I purchased from Macy's but I refuse to get rid of because the sales person was a dear friend. The best option I found that if you are looking for laser cut patent leather flats are these Tarhari ones at Lord and Taylor
