Orange Spring Salwar Kameez

Like most desi girls my love for the entire desi attire stemmed from my mother. The way she would covet the materials, designs, and colors eventually turned into the things that I looked at as well. I remember when I was in Pakistan my mom would light up anytime a shop keeper would show her gota which is a type of fabric and work embellished on traditional desi outfits. Her keenness on this sparked my interest so I ordered an outfit with a gota border. Seriously, everytime I put this outfit on I think of mom. Ziptank OOTD

Not too long a ago I was watching one of my favorite tv shows: Shark Tank.  During the episode an entrepreneur named Kaeya Majmundar grabbed my attention, she later was on an episode of Steve Harvey which I happened to be watching and was blown away by this young woman. I loved her spirit and her passion for the products and companies she comes out with. I found her on Instagram and reached out to her. Her company is called ziptank and is a life saver! What's even more amazing is that it's patented. I give Kaeya so much credit for being able to pursue her dreams and paving the way for young women all over. Anything that can save me time is priority number one for me as a mommy. This tank doubles as a bag before or after your done wearing it which is INGENIOUS! When I got my hands on one I quickly put it to use running errands with my family. Instead of dragging my bulky bag with me which makes me feel sometimes like the logo maybe be too much in certain settings this ziptank is so convenient.   To find more information on Kaeya check out her website and Instagram:

Birthday Outfit

This past Saturday I got to celebrate my birthday in the city with my best friend, hubby and sil. I originally was going to do something more adventurous but mother nature had different plans. Nonetheless, I had an amazing time. We kicked off dinner early at Spice Market. Later, we took dessert to a different spot that had shaved ice cream 😍😍😍. Lastly, we sat front row at a comedy show in the upper east side. I genuinely had a good time with great company. The dress I wore wasn't my original choice but the weather here is so cold I opted for this. I ended up liking it for its simplicity. The dress was from H&M.
