Mid Summer night out

 This past weekend went out for a family birthday party. We headed into Jersey City and and the pleasure of viewing the NYC skyline from the birthday boys apartment. The party itself was so cute everything was golf themed, luckily I wore a green skirt and fit right in. I decided to get a little dressed up in something pretty.  I’ve been loving full midi skirts right now and and find that they’re so flattering and classic.  This emerald-colored one with subtle pleats is of all of my favorite things this summer, so it was pretty much impossible not to have a silly grin on my face while wearing it!

My top was a black bodysuit which I can not for the life of me remember where i got it, but I do know it was at an inexpensive store. Lastly my heels are of course Steven by Steve Madden, for some reason his shoes are SOOOO comfortable I literally could run in any heels by Steve Madden.

ElegantFashion Eid Special

For this upcoming Eid, I felt like I had absolutely nothing to wear and nothing to choose from. Much to my despair I luckily happened upon Asma from ElegantFashion. Thank God I found  ElegantFashion because when I say amazing work, amazing outfit, amazing variety I am not lying. 

I first started following them on Instagram and then added them on their Snapchat. What even better is that all the clothes have are so cute !! And you don't I have crazy high price points like some other designers I have run across. Here’s a quick spotlight on 'The Elagandandfashion', their designs, and an outfit I will be wearing for Eid. P.s. Wedding season is right around the corner so don't be shy!! 

Elagandandfashion's brand concentrates on formal party wear, semi formal, and bridal gowns for the South Asian market. The quality of the work is simply outstanding! The beadwork is so meticulous and well done. My biggest pet peeve with the sea off it's is that sometimes stuff is glued on using a glue gun. This is definitely not the case with them. You can see the craftsmanship and handmade work at that is on there.The outfit I wore was a silly chiffon and satin lining that felt so soft! The pants were a babar so material that not many people know that I absolutely am a sucker for! I love the authenticity of a good banars incorporated into any desi attire. 

From the beadwork on the front was reminiscent of Mina Hassan if not better. There were tiny decadent balls lining the bottom of the kameez which added some fun sparkle.  The dupatta to was simple but stayed with kaam to and a banars border to tie in the top and the bottom pieces. Everything was simply stunning. There are many vendors out there making clothes, and just as many replica designers. Many replicas lack in quality and design, The ElegantFashion pays close attention to quality, detail, and design. If you guys wanted my recommendation then don't hesitate trying them. The price points are affordable and the kaam and materials don't leave you disappointed. Most importantly if you message them they have very good communication that is hard to find in Pakistan. National Harbor Weekend

So recently I travelled back to Maryland in order to finally pick up my long-awaited degree. I worked long and hard, perhaps a little longer than I should have, but being able to finally walk was an amazing experience. Apart from that we got to stay at the national harbor and re-live our life prior to moving up north. The icing on the cake was having our son there with us creating new and exceptional memories. One of the days while I was there I wore this coat that was a surprising find from Sears. My blouse was from Zara, bag was Dolce and Gabanna and my jeans were Uniqulo. 











One of the days there we also went to visit the animals at the zoo! I truly think that the adults were more excited than my son to see the animals. Nonetheless, we had a great time until it started raining. Luckily, we were in the birdhouse and spent some time with peacocks and parrots. I had on the same jeans because other pair I bought were flared and I just was not feeling them. My top was from Forever 21, scarf, bag and sunglasses were Aldo.

Black for cold Spring Weather

There are days when you wake up and you get tired of the same old. Today was one of those days for me. Instead of putting on any old pair of jeans or black pants I wanted a change. Enter my H&M faux leather leggings. I forgot about these guys for a while but then there they were staring at me in the closet. I thought to myself I will never wear these in the summer and even though it's May now it might as will be the middle of winter. I received so many compliments on these and they are so comfortable contrary to the way they appear. The top I wore was an older top I had from MM couture. I enjoy the detail of pleats on the bottom and the lace lining the top. The bag was a gift from my sister when she went on vacation to Italy. My heels for a staple from Zara. Midnight Blue

It seems like wedding season is in full swing and I am a happily ready to comply. I love wedding season because it gives me a reason to dress up in desi attire. This past weekend I attended a reception at the stunning Merion in south jersey. My outfit was a purchase from Mohsins in Karachi. A navy blue, chiffon outfit with a tail and high neck. My clutch was from sole society. 


My heels were Jimmy choos.
